WD-40 Company — Shares rose 11% after the mineral lubricant maker reported fiscal third-quarter results that beat analysts’ expectations. WD-40 reported earnings of $1.46 a share on revenue of $155 million, above the $1.39 a share on revenue of $145.8 million analysts had expected, according to FactSet.
Price Smart — The membership warehouse club operator added 6% after reporting fiscal third-quarter earnings and revenue. PriceSmart’s adjusted earnings came in at $1.08 per share, compared with analysts polled by FactSet expecting $1.01 per share. The company’s revenue of $1.23 billion was also above the consensus estimate of $1.21 billion.
costco wholesale — Shares rose 3% after the members-only retail chain announced its first increase in membership prices since 2017. Costco said it would raise its membership by $5 for annual memberships, while its top-tier plan will see a $10 increase.
About Semiconductors, microchip technology — Semiconductor stocks lost 2% in extended trading hours. That was a sharp reversal from the big gains they posted in the regular session, when the stocks added 4.2% and 3.9%, respectively.
