Check out which companies are making headlines in pre-market trading. Walmart – The retail giant gained about 4% after posting fiscal third-quarter results that beat Wall Street estimates. Walmart also boosted its guidance as customers buy more groceries. Lowe's – Shares of the home improvement retailer fell 1.7%. Although the company reported top- and bottom-line wins in its fiscal third quarter, it estimates sales will decline year over year. Lowe's expects comparable sales to decline 3% to 3.5%, slightly better than the 3.5% to 4% decline it previously expected. Super Micro Computer – Shares of the server maker rose nearly 26% after announcing BDO as its new auditor. The news came after Ernst & Young stepped down last month. Super Micro also submitted a plan to Nasdaq on how it will remain compliant with the exchange's rules. Ramsey – The automation technology company rose 28.5% after beating revenue expectations in its fiscal fourth quarter. Revenue was $576.8 million in the fourth quarter, well above the $470.2 million set by Wall Street. Symbotic also provided strong guidance for the current quarter. AeroVironment – Stock fell 5% after the defense contractor announced it was acquiring BlueHalo in an all-stock deal worth $4.1 billion. AeroVironment said the deal “will herald the next generation of defense technology” for the company. BioNTech – Shares rose 1.9% after Evercore ISI upgraded the German biotech company to Outperform. Evercore ISI said the “chaos” following President-elect Donald Trump's nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to the Department of Health and Human Services is a buying opportunity for investors. Nvidia – Stock of the beloved artificial intelligence company and market leader rose about 1.5% in pre-market trading.
