Asia-Pacific markets were mostly higher after major US benchmark indexes reached new highs overnight as artificial intelligence chip company Nvidia outperformed. Microsoft To become the most valuable public company in the world.
The chipmaker's shares jumped 3.5% overnight on Wall Street and have risen 174% since the beginning of the year.
Investors in Asia weighed Japanese trade data for May, as exports beat expectations. Exports grew 13.5 percent year-on-year, compared with a 13 percent increase expected by economists polled by Reuters. However, the growth of imports by 9.5% was contrary to expectations, which indicated an increase of 10.4%.
Investors also digested the Reuters Tankan Index reading which showed business confidence among major Japanese manufacturers falling to +6 from +9 in May. On the other hand, business confidence among non-manufacturers rose to +31 from +26 in May.
The Tankan measures business confidence among Japanese companies, and a positive number means that optimists outnumber pessimists and vice versa.

South Korea Cosby Samsung Electronics rose nearly 1%, helped by a 1.5% gain in heavyweight Samsung Electronics.
Shares of other South Korean technology companies also rose, with LG Electronics jumping 4.13%, while SK Hynix rose more than 3%. The small-cap Kosdaq index reversed earlier gains to fall 0.28%.
Hong Kong Hang Seng Index The CSI 300 index in mainland China rose by 1.97%, while it fell by 0.42%.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission said it will publish new measures to deepen the reform of Shanghai's high-tech STAR market, according to a Reuters report.
Securities and Exchange Regulatory Commission Chairman Wu Qing said the commission will strengthen regulation of high-frequency trading and over-the-counter financial derivatives.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index fell 0.18%.
