Hunter Biden's lawyer told a federal judge in Los Angeles on Thursday morning that there is no reason to move forward with jury selection in his criminal tax case because President Joe Biden's son intends to change his return.
Hunter Biden, 54, had previously pleaded not guilty in the case.
“There is no reason to proceed with jury selection because Mr. Biden intends to change his plea,” the defense attorney said.
Biden was convicted in June after being tried in another case in which he was charged with crimes related to buying a gun in 2018 while high on cocaine. Biden is awaiting sentencing in that case in U.S. District Court in Delaware.
