Audi on Monday unveiled its all-electric Q6 e-tron SUV, the first production car from the next generation of electric vehicle architecture.

The car heralds the next generation of electric vehicles for Audi, which continues to introduce more hybrid and all-electric vehicles despite the recent slowdown in EV growth.
Audi confirmed that it plans to introduce about 20 new or significantly redesigned models and derivatives globally until 2025, more than half of which will be electric.

Orders for the Q6 e-tron quattro plus the “S” performance version will open this month in Europe, with prices starting at €74,400, or about $81,000, and €93,800, or $102,030, respectively. The Q6 e-tron has an estimated range on a single charge of 625 kilometers, or 388 miles, based on European testing standards.
Top performance specifications for the US include up to 510 hp, a top speed of 143 mph and 0 mph to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds.
Audi said the American model is expected to achieve more than 300 miles on a single charge.
Exact U.S. price, range and model details are expected closer to when the midsize SUV goes on sale locally later this year, according to an Audi spokesperson.
Audi currently offers the all-electric Q4 and Q8 SUVs as well as a $106,500 GT sedan in the US market.
The Q6 e-tron features new and familiar Audi design, including sleek headlights, a mesh grille and an overall powerful exterior design.
The new EV platform includes an 800-volt battery architecture and a maximum charging capacity of 270 kWh.
